Research Insights
Students
Bored of books
Excellent capacity to grasp
Low Confidence
Parents
They aren’t aware enough to know what is right for their children.
They send them to school thinking their problems will get solved, but that doesn’t happen
NGOs
They assist rural children in pursuing their education but they are unable to make much progress in building the confidence level of the young minds
Reasons for low confidence
Can communicate in only one language
Very less exposure, never met people from different fields
Intimidated first time when they enter in an urban scenario
Inter-culture interaction is missing
Financial difference
Parents are not educated
Superstition and caste system is also a restriction
Teachers don’t work on building confidence of the students.
Teacher’s grooming is not enough to impart proper knowledge.
School infrastructure is poor.
Constraints
Medium
Games and Puzzles | Books and Puzzles | Storytelling | Human Interaction | Facts and Flash cards | Activities and Picnic
Something that they can relate to
Something that is in the school environment
Should not need an electricity back up
Cannot be extremely digital (not a very big jump in technology)
Not too bookish because that makes them bored.
Something which they can operate themselves
A remote like interface can work (they are used to watching TV)
Should be inspired from their surroundings.
Which they enjoy and have an element of play in it.
Can be used when teachers are occupied in their work
Which can evoke some discussion and not create fights using it
Something which they be eager to use with every new lesson
An unconventional way of learning something new
