Beyond ‘Design’

Design is not just about a product, a space or an experience. Design is a culture. It is a mindset that can only be experienced and practised. It is about creating new directions, giving birth to new ideas and having the confidence to bring about a change.

How can organised and unorganised sectors coexist?

With the easy availability of modern technology & design, organizations from various sectors have been able to adapt to newer methods to produce finished goods, which enables them to penetrate into untapped markets well.

However, there are still a few businesses that haven’t been able to shift to these modern techniques because of resistance by direct and indirect stakeholders. There is a lot of resistance to change.
One such sector is woodworking where people still use redundant skills and techniques. We worked towards bridging the gap between the unorganized sector, comprising carpenters, and the structured organizations using their skills.
The intention was to get different stakeholders together to work as a whole, to create an environment that facilitates faster technology adoption and to assist the growth of both the organized and unorganized sector.

Toolkits and Publications

Dedicated to change.

Change is not just brought by one medium. A lot is lost if there is no record of multiple data points. As a design enthusiast, it should be our core responsibility to create a repository of data that is available for everyone so that each person is able experience the impact.
